VegSarasota July Meetup at Whole Foods

We had our 16th successful veggie meetup tonight. Approx 22 people braved the stormy weather to meet up with their favorite veggie pals. Even though the weather brought us inside the Whole Foods cafe we still had a blast. Some highlights: Kris of Biotica Ecotours spoke about their new kayak rentals and upcoming trips. Dates to be posted soon. Raylon spoke about a new "letter writing group" forming. This would consist of getting together, picking a topic and each writing a letter to an organization with a specific goal in mind. It will start out with giving praise to restaurants/businesses/organizations who are offering veggie options, doing things "green" and overall doing a good job. Chris spoke about an alternative bug repellent called Cutter Advanced Picaridin. Here's a picture so you can find it in the store. It's way better than that nasty DEET crap! :)
